Sustainability of Type 2 Diabetes Management 

Novo Nordisk applied the sustainable care pathways guidance to develop a case study on the management of type 2 diabetes.  Combining health economics data with environmental impact data available in the guidance it was possible to compare two diabetes management scenarios and assess the environmental trade-off between the increased use of pharmaceuticals to manage the condition and decrease in complications.
