Since acquiring Bespak in 2020, Recipharm is now a market leading design, development and manufacturing centre for technologies, including inhalers, nasal delivery devices and auto-injectors, to the global pharmaceutical and biotech markets.
Recipharm aims to stay at the leading edge of drug delivery device innovation, using its expertise to deliver sustainable inhalation and injectable drug products and drug delivery devices. Recipharm has also aligned itself with the United Nations (UN) Global Compact. The ten principles in UN Global Compact serve as the guide for identifying its top three priority areas; reducing carbon emissions, supplier assessment and monitoring and developing its internal governance.
The SHC is a healthcare sector led group which looks for the greatest opportunities to inspire sustainable practices in healthcare through the collaboration of its members across private and public sectors. Action focused; our core principle is that net zero sustainability challenges are most effectively addressed by collaborating across the system. The group is powerful because it allows open conversations between committed organisations to explore the possibility for change in a safe space and, by focusing on tangible sustainability problems, it has driven innovation and led to practical action through testing and learning across the system.
Like our existing members, Recipharm understands that using this collaboration for stepped-up action is in the interest of all in the health care sector, to gain a better understanding of what is good for business and the healthcare system, good for the environment and health, and good for our common future.
