What we do

The Sustainable Healthcare Coalition drives action on net-zero healthcare, bridging public and private sectors to deliver sustainable solutions that prioritise human health alongside environmental stewardship. Whilst we recognise that sustainable changes must happen within the healthcare system, we also recognise that this change cannot be achieved by limiting innovation or progression. Our mission is to inspire and drive sustainable practice within the healthcare system, maximising benefit through innovation, sensible design, data-driven insights, and impactful partnerships.

Sustainable Care Pathways Knowledge Hub

The care pathways knowledge hub is dedicated to driving sustainable practices within clinical care pathways, an often overlooked area of healthcare provision. The hub hosts a framework and calculator which allows the user to evaluate the environmental impact of patient care pathways and also identify ways to address carbon hotspots in clinical care delivery.

Sustainable Clinical Trials Knowledge Hub

The clinical trials knowledge hub is dedicated to driving sustainable practices and decarbonisation across the clinical trials ecosystem. Our primary objective is to equip and empower researchers and trial teams with the necessary tools to identify and address carbon hotspots in clinical trial design and delivery. The hub is also home to the clinical trials community of practice, intended to bring together a broad range of stakeholders involved in making clinical trials more sustainable.

Bringing people together to accelerate change

The Coalition operates at the intersection of industry, policy, healthcare and academia. This position allows us to foster trust, facilitate projects and provide advisory services. We are connectors and enablers of sustainable transformation.
